1) Out of Skinner Street in Bishopsgate Ward Without (Strype, ed. 1755-Boyle, 1799).

2) East out of Coleman Street, south of Swan Alley. In Coleman Street Ward (Elmes, 1831).

First mention: Curtilage called a carpenter's yard in Colman street "parcel of the Bisshops head" (q.v.), 27 Eliz. (1585) (Lond. I. p.m. III. p. 83).

Described by Strype as only a large timber-yard (ed. 1720, I. iii. 64).

3) In Austin Friars, within the priory precincts, granted in 1611 to Sir Noel de Caron, the Ambassadors of the Estates of the United Provinces.

Adjoined the Dutch church. Held of the Manor of East Greenwich. Now part of Nos. 2 to 5 and 6 and 6a Austin Friars (End. Charities Rep. Dutch Church, p. 3).

4) South of Little Britain, in Aldersgate Ward Without, with a passage into the Town-ditch (O. and M. 1677-L. Guide, 1758).

Possibly identical with Carpenter's Yard described by Lockie, 1816, as behind St. Bartholomew's Hospital, facing the cloisters.

The site is now occupied by King Edward Street.

5) South out of London Wall, in Broad Street Ward (O. and M. 1677-Boyle, 1799).

The site has been rebuilt in the 19th century and is occupied by offices and warehouses.

6) North out of Beech Lane, in Cripplegate Ward Without (Rocque, I 746-Boyle, 1799).

The site is now occupied by offices and business houses in Beech Street.

7) North out of Half Moon Street, Bishopsgate, at the back of the Half Moon, in Bishopsgate Ward Without (Lockie, 1810-Elmes, 1831).
