1) South-west out of Pemberton Row, Gough Square, in Farringdon Ward Without (O. and M. 1677-Rocque, 1746).


The site has been rebuilt and is now occupied by business houses.

2) East out of Red Cross Street, in Cripplegate Ward Without (O. and M. 1677).

Called" Red Lyon and Axe Inn " in Strype, 1720 and 1755. The site is now occupied by offices and business houses.

3) East out of Bishopsgate in Bishopsgate Ward Without (O. and M. 1677-Boyle, 1799).

In 1673 a way was enclosed through Spittlefields from the Red Lion to Smock Alley (L. and P. Chas. II. D.S. XV. 351). Qy. Identical.
