Former name: "Wardrobe Court" (Hatton, 1708-Horwood, 1799).

In O. and M. the site is vacant, and on it is written" The King's Wardrobe was here."

Strype says: "The Garden (of the King's Wardrobe) is converted into a large and square Court, with good Houses and called ' Wardrobe Court ' " (ed. 1720, I. iii. 230).
