1893. `The Argus,' Oct. 6, p. 7, col. 6[Letter headed `Wineries']:

«I would suggest that the idea of small local wineries, eachrunning on its own lines, be abandoned, and one large companyformed, having its headquarters in Melbourne with wineries invarious centres.
