ALAGO´NIA(Ἀλαγονία), a town of Laconia near the Messenian frontier, belonging to the Eleuthero-Lacones, containing temples of Dionysus and Artemis. This town was distant 30 stadia from Gerenia, but its site is unknown. (Paus. 3.21.7, 3.26.11.)
