ANEMOREIA subsequently ANEMOLEIA (Ἀνεμώρεια, Ἀεμώλεια : Eth. Ἀνεμωρεύς), a town of Phocis mentioned by Homer, was situated on a height on the borders of Phocis and Delphi, and is said to have derived its name from the gusts of wind which blew on the place from the tops of Mt. Parnassus. (Hom. Il. 2.521; Strab. p. 423; Steph. B. s. v.)
