ARSA´NIAS(Ἀρσανίας: Myrád-cháï), an affluent of the Euphrates according to Pliny (Plin. Nat. 5.24, 6.31; comp. Tac. Ann. 15.15; Plut. Luc. 31). Ritter ( Erdkunde, vol. x. pp. 85, 98, 101, 646, vol. 11. p. 110) considers it to be the S. arm of the Euphrates (St. Martin, Mém. sur l'Armenie, pp. 50, 51, 171).
