A´SPONA or ASPUNA(Ἄσπονα), a place in Galatia, named in all the Itineraries. Ammianus Marcellinus (Ammian. 25.10) calls it a small municipium of Galatia. It lay on the road from Ancyra to Caesarea Mazaca. The site does not seem to be determined.
