Badara

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

BADARA(Βαδάρα, Ptol. 6.21.5), a town in Gedrosia, on the sea coast. According to Marcian (p. 26), who calls it τὰ Βάδαρα, it was 250 stad. E. of the river Zorambus. It is not improbably the same as the Barna (τὰ Βάρνα) of Arrian (100.26). There was another place of the same name in Carmania. (Ptol. 6.8.9.)
