Bedaium

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

BEDAIUM or BIDAIUM(Βάδακον), a town in Noricum. (Ptol. 2.14.3; Itin. Ant. pp. 236, 257, 258; Tab. Peuting.) Modern geographers identify it with Bamburgor with Burghausennear the point where the Salzachflows into the Danube. (Comp. Orelli, Inscript. No. 1694, where a god Bedaius is mentioned, who was probably worshipped at Bedaium.)
