BERO´THA(Βηρώθη), mentioned only by Josephus as a city of Upper Galilee, not far from Cadesh (Naphthali) ( Ant. 5.1.18). He makes it the scene of the decisive battle which Joshua fought with the northern kings, at the waters of Merom.( Josh. 11.1—9.)
