Bolax

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

BOLAX(Βώλαχ), a town of Triphylia in Elis, which surrendered to Philip in the Social War. Its site is uncertain; but Leake, judging from similarity of name, places it at Volántza, a village on the left bank of the Alpheius, about four miles above its mouth. (Plb. 4.77.9, 80.13; Leake, Morea, vol. 2. p. 207.)
