BUPORTHMUS(Βούπορδμος), a lofty promontory of Argolis, running out into the sea near Hermione. On it was a temple of Demeter and her daughter, and another of Athena Promachorma. The name Buporthmus, Leake observes, seems clearly to point to Cape Muzákiand the narrow passage between it and the island Dhokó.
