Cadrusi

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

CADRUSI(Plin. Nat. 6.23. s. 25), a district on the Indian Caucasus or Paropamisus, in which was situated the Alexandreia founded by Alexander the Great on his march into Bactria. (Arrian, 3.28, 4.22.) Solinis (100.54) appears to have misunderstood the words of Pliny, and to have inferred that there was a city there called Cadrusia; for which, however, there is no authority.
