CALLIARUS(Καλλίαρος: Eih. Καλλιαρύς), a town in eastern Locris mentioned by Homer, was un-inhabited in Strabo's time, but its name was still attached to a tract of ground on account of the fertility of the latter. (Hom. Il. 2.531; Strab. 9. p. 426; Steph. B. s. v.;Leake, Northern Greece, vol. 2. p. 180.)
