Canasis

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

CANASIS(Κανάσις, Arrian, Ind. 29), a small port on the shore of Gedrosia to which the fleet of Nearchus came. Vincent identifies it with a small place called Tiz. The country seems to have been then, as now, nearly deserted, and exposed to much suffering from drought. (Vincent, Voyage of Nearchus, vol. 1. p. 267.)
