CHARIEIS(Χαριείς, Arrian, Peripl. p. 10; Charien, Plin. Nat. 6.4. s. 4), a river of Colchis, flowing into the Euxine Sea, 90 stadia north of the Phasis. Whether it is the same river as the CHARES(Χάρης) of Strabo (11. p. 499) is doubtful.
