CHOE´REAE(Χοιρέαι), a place in Euboea, only mentioned by Herodotus (Hdt. 6.101), appears to have been situated between Tamynae and the island Aegilia. Cramer supposes Choereae to be the islets named Kavalleriin modern maps.
