Chorseus

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

CHORSEUS(Χόρσεος, Ptol. 5.16.1), a river of Palestine, which formed the boundary between that country and Phoenicia, and fell into the sea between Dora and Caesarea Stratonis, now the Coradsché(Von Raumer, Palestina, p. 53; Pococke, Trav. vol. 2. p. 58), a name which does not occur in the maps, but is probably a mountain stream which flows only in winter.
