CHRISTO´POLIS(Χριστόπολις), a town of Macedonia, situated on the Via Egnatia, mentioned by the writers of the Lower Empire (Georg. Acrop. 100.43; Niceph. Greg. 13.1.1, 13.5.1), which some have supposed to have occupied the site of Datum, but should more properly be identified with Acontisma. [ACONTISMA]
