COLOPE´NE, CULUPE´NE, or CALUPENE (Καλουπηνή), a district in Pontus on the border of Armenia Minor. (Strab. p. 560.) Pliny (Plin. Nat. 6.3) places Sebastia and Sebastopolis in Colopene. As to the position of this district, see PONTUS[G.L]
