CREMNISCI(Κρημνίσκοι, Anon. Peripl. Point. Eux. p. 10; Cremniscos, Plin. Nat. 4.26), a town on the Euxine, which Artemidorus, the geographer, placed at 480 stadia from the river Tyras. Forbiger (vol. 3. p. 1129) places it near the lake Burmasaka, or near Islama.
