CRO´MMYON(Κρομμύων ἄκρα, Ptol. 5.14.3; Κρομμύου ἄκρα, Strab. xiv. pp. 669, 682; Κρομμυακόν, Stadiasm. § 294; Cic. ad Fam. 12.13: Cormachite), the most N. point of the island of Cyprus, NW. of Lapethus. It lay opposite to Cape Anemurium of Cilicia, from which it was distant 350 stadia. (Strab. 14. p. 682; Engel, Kypros, vol. 1. p. 77.)
