CYON(Κύον: Eth. Κυΐτης), a city of Caria. Stephanus (s. v.) cites the Carica of Apollonius, and adds that it was once called Canebium. Cramer (Asia Minor, vol. 2. p. 216) observes that there are autonomous coins of Cyon, with the epigraph Κυ. Κυι. Κυιτων.
