DANABA(Δάναβα, Ptol. 5.15.24), a small town placed by Ptolemy in Palmyrene, a subdivision of his larger district of Coele-Syria. It is mentioned under the name of Danabe in the war between the emperor Julian and the Persians. (Zosim. 3.27. 7.)
