Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

DIMALLUM(Δίμαλος, Διμάλη, Διμάλλη, Plb. 3.18, 7.9), an important fortress in Illyricum, taken by the Romans under L. Aemilius Paulus, in their war with Demetrius of Pharos; and which seems to have been in the neighbourhood of the Parthini, if not included within their territory. (Liv. 29.12; Polyb. l. c.)
