DRILO(Δρίλων, Ptol. 2.16.5; Plin. Nat. 3.22; Theophrast H.P. 9.7; Nicand. Fluv. 607: Drin), a river of Illyricum which was navigable as far as the territory of the Dardanii. (Strab. 7. p. 316.) Vibius Sequester ( Flum. 9; comp. Anna Comn. p. 371), who gives it the name of Drinius, is right in stating that its sources are to be found in the Lake Lychnitis. The Black Drinis the outlet for Lake Okridha, and is joined by the White Drinat Scheitan Köpru;the united waters discharge themselves into the sea at Lissus ( Lesch).
