ELLASAR(Ἐλλασάρ), mentioned only in Genesis (14.1) as the country of Arioch, one of the kings associated with Chedorlaomer in his invasion of Canaan. Some have identified it with the Elisariof Arabia, others with Assyria, under the name El-Asur; but all is pure conjecture.
