EPANTE´RII a Ligurian tribe, mentioned only by Livy (Liv. 28.46), from whose expressions they would appear to have been a mountain tribe, situated in the Maritime Alps above the Ingauni. They were at war with the latter people when Mago arrived in Liguria, B.C. 205. [E.H.B]
