GARI(Γάρι, Isid. Char. ap. Huds. vol. 2. p. 9), a small place in Ariana, most likely represented now by Ghore, to the east of Ferrah. Perhaps it is the same as Ghirane, which lies to the NE. from Ferrah. Mannert (5.2. s. 61) has supposed that it is the same as Greishkto the NE. of Bost, on the Elwuend, which, however, is more likely to be the Chatrisache or Chatrische of Ptolemy (Ptol. 6.17. s. 5).
