HELVECO´NAE(Αἰλουαίωνες, Ptol. 2.11.17), a tribe of the north of Germany, on the west of the Vistula, between the Rugii and Burgundiones. According to Tacitus ( Germ. 43), the Helveconae were one of the bravest tribes of the Lygii.[L.S]
