Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

JULIOBRI´GA(Ἰουλιόβριγα), the chief city of the Cantabri, in Hispania Tarraconensis, belonging to the conventus of Clunia, stood near the sources of the Ebro, on the eminence of Retortillo, S. of Reyñosa. Five stones still mark the bounds which divided its territory from that of Legio IV. It had its port, named Portus Victoriae Juliobrigensium, at Santonna. (Plin.
