KEDEMOTH(Βακεδμώθ, LXX.), a city in the tribe of Reuben ( Josh. 13.18), which gave its name to the wilderness of Kedemoth, on the borders of the river Arnon, from whence Moses sent messengers of peace to Sihon king of Heshbon ( Deut. 2.26.)
