Lagusa

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

LAGU´SA(Λάγουσα, Λαγοῦσσα), an island in the Aegaean sea, the name of which occurs in Strabo between those of Sicinus and Pholegandrus. Hence it is probably the same as Kardiötissa, a rocky islet between the two latter islands. But Kiepert, in his map, identifies it with Polyaegus. (Strab. 10. p. 484; Steph. B. s. v.;Eustath. ad Il. 2.625, p. 306.)
