LAMPONEIA or LAMPO´NIUM(Λαμπώνεια, Λαμπώνιονan Aeolian town in the south-west of Troas, of which no particulars are known, except that it was annexed to Persia by the satrap Otanes in the reign of Darius Hystaspis.
