MADETHU´BADUS, M. (τὸ Μαδεθούβαδον ἢ Μαλεθούβαλον ὄρος), is the name applied by Ptolemy (Ptol. 4.2.15) to that part of the prolongation of the Atlas chain S. of Mauretania Caesariensis which contained the sources of the Chinalaph and its tributaries. [Comp. ATLAS]
