MAZAEI(Μαζαῖοι), a Pannonian tribe, occupying the southernmost part of Pannonia, on the frontiers of Dalmatia, whence Dio Cassius (Dio Cass. 55.32) calls them a Dalmatian people. They were conquered and severely treated by Germanicus. (Strab. 7. p. 314; Plin. Nat. 3.26; Ptol. 2.16.8.)
