NOROSSUS(Νόροσσον ὄρος, Ptol. 6.14. § § 5, 11), a mountain of Scythia intra Imaum, near which were the tribes of NOROSBES(Νοροσβεῖς) NOROSSI(Νόροσσοι) and CACHAGAE(Καχάγαι). It must be referred to the S. portion of the great meridian chain of the Ural.
