NOVANA a town of Picenum, mentioned only by Pliny (Plin. Nat. 3.13. s. 18), who appears to place it in the neighbourhood of Asculum and Cupra. It is probably represented by Monte di Nove, about 8 miles N. of Ascoli. (Cluver, Ital. p. 741.)[E.H.B]
