OESYME(Οἰσύμη, Thuc. 4.107; Scyl. p. 27 (the MS. incorrectly Σιούμη); Scymn. Ch. 655; Diod. Sic. 12.68 (by an error of the MS. Σύμη); Ptol. 3.13.9; Plin. Nat. 4.18; Armenidas, ap. Athen. p. 31: Eth. Οἰσυμαῖος, Steph. B.), a Thasian colony in Pieris, which, with Galepsus, was taken by Brasidas, after the capture of Amphipolis. (Thue. l. c.)
