OLYMPE´NE(Ὀλυμπηνή), a district of Mysia, on the northern slope of Mount Olympus, from which it derived its name. (Strab. xii. pp. 571, 576.) The inhabitants of the district were called Olympeni (Ὀλυμπηνοί, Strab. 12. p. 574; Ptol. 5.2.15) or Olympieni (Ὀλυμπιηνοί, Hdt. 7.74; comp. MYSIA).
