OMENO´GARA(Ὀμενόγαρα), a town in the district of Ariaca, in the division of India intra Gangem. There is no reason to doubt that it is the present Ahmed-nagar, celebrated for its rock fortress. (Ptol. 7.1.82; comp. Pott. Etym. Forsch. p. 78.)[V]
