ORTHE(Ὄρθη), a town of Perrhaebia in Thessaly. mentioned by Homer (Hom. Il. 2.739), was said by Strabo (9. p. 440) to have become the acropolis of Plialanna. [PHALANNA] It occurs, however, in tlhe lists of Pliny (Plin. Nat. 4.9. s. 16) as a distinct town from Phalanna.
