Palamnus

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

PALAMNUS(Πάλαμνος, Scyl. p. 10), a river of Illyricum, which flowed into the sea near Epidamnus. This river has been identified with the PANYASUS(Πανυσσου ἐκβ., Ptol. 3.13.3); but this latter corresponds better with the GENUSUS ( Tjermaor Skumbi): the Palamnus is probably the same as the Dartschor Spirnatza, to the S. of Durazzo.
