PANTOMATRIUM(Παντομάτριον: Eth. Παντομάτριος;Steph. B. s. v.), a town on the N. coast of Crete, placed by Ptolemy (Ptol. 3.17.7) between Rhithymna and the promontory of Dium, but by Pliny (Plin. Nat. 4.20. s. 20) more to the W., between Apterum and Amphimalla: probably on the modern C. Retino. (Höck, Creta, i. pp. 18,394.) LT.H.D.]
