PARTHANUM a town in Rhaetia, on the road from Laureacum to Veldidena, where, according to the Notitia Imperil (in which it is called Parrodunum), the first Rhaetian cohort was stationed. ( Itin. Ant. pp. 257, 275.) Its site is generally identified with the modern Partenkirchen.
