PASSALAE(Πασσάλαι, Ptol. 7.2.15), a tribe in India extra Gangem, placed by Ptolemy between the Imaus and the M. Bepyrrhus, They must therefore have occupied some of the mountain-valleys on the eastern side of Tibet. Pliny mentions them also (6.19. s. 22)
