PHILEAE(Mela, 2.2.5), or PHILIAS (Tab. Peut.;Geog. Rav. 4.6, 5.12; Φιλέας, Scymn. 5.722; Steph. B. 698, who, however, has also the forms Φιλέαand Φινέα; Φιλία, Anon. B. Per. P. Eux., who also says that it was called Φρυγία, with which name it is likewise found in Arrian, Per. P. Eux. p. 25; comp. Zosim. 1.34), a town on the coast of Thrace, built by the Byzantines, on a promontory of the same name. It still exists under the slightly altered appellation of Filleaor Filine.
