Regianum

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

REGIA´NUM(Ῥηγίανον, Ptol. 3.10.10), a place on the Danube in Moesia Inferior. It is probably the same place as the Augusta of the Itinerary (p. 220; comp. Tab. Peut. ) and the Αὐγοῦστονof Procopius (de Aed. 4.6); in which case it may be identified with Cotoszlinat the confluence of the Ogristuland Danube.
