RHIZANA(Ῥιζάνα, Ptol. 6.21.2; Ῥίζανα, Marcian, Peripl. 1.33, ed. Müller), a town on the coast of Gedrosia, in the immediate neighbourhood of the most western mouth of the Indus. The differences between Ptolemy and Marcian with regard to distances do not seem here reconcileable.
